Homemade Rolls

There is nothing better than the aroma of homemade rolls baking in the oven!

A good hot roll with butter spread on it……..pure bliss!



2c. warm water

1 pkg. dry yeast

1/3 c. sugar

1 tsp. salt

5 tbs. vegetable oil

4 to 5 c. flour

Mix warm water with dry yeast.  Add sugar, salt and vegetable oil.  Mix well.  Add flour a little at a time and mix well.  Pour out on floured surface and knead.  Put in bowl and let rise for 2 hours.

Then knead again and let rise 1 hour.  Then knead again and make into rolls.  Let rolls rise 45 minutes.  Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.  Butter tops while piping hot!
